Today my mates and I are travelling to Bradford where we will stay for 4 weeks serving as student teachers in a school called Belle Vue Girls' School. We are all very excited about the idea and have very high expectations for this experience.

FLIGHT DETAILS

Some of us are flying with Ryanair from Málaga to Manchester and others directly to Bradford. We did not have much time to book our flight as we were not told the precise date until one month before the scolarship. The flight cost us around 200€ round trip and one check-in bags.

Málaga-Manchester

In our case, Adela and I, once in Manchester Airport a bus will drop us at Bradford Interchange (bus station) which takes around two hours (around £10). The bus station in Bradford is not very far away from Doris Birdsall residence hall, only 20 min. away walking.

Málaga-Bradford

The rest of the students flyed directly to Bradford-Leeds Airport from where they booked a taxi which drove them to the Residence Hall. We recomend you to book a taxi in advance and check the prices, as the cost is variable depending on the time.

What stuff are we carrying? Well, first of all, we have packed a 15-20 kg. luggage plus a 10 kg. handbag, which we hope will be enough for the whole month. We were asked to wear in a formal way when attending the lessons, no jeans are allowed in the school!! Most of us have 2 or 3 formal trousers and shirts to wear when going to school. As for the weather forecast concerns, temperatures will vary between 5° and 16°, so we all are taking along warm and light clothes just in case. We are also carrying some food as we will have a kitchen available for every 5 students at the residence hall.

Here in the map you can see that it takes around 19 min. and you will be using main roads.
